Bluetooth is a proprietary open wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances (using short-wavelength radio transmissions in the ISM band from 2400–2480 MHz) from fixed and mobile devices, creating personal area networks (PANs) with high levels of security.
Energy Star is an international standard for energy efficient consumer products created in 1992. Devices carrying the Energy Star service mark generally use 20%–30% less energy than average.
The device is Wi-Fi certified, for wireless exchange of data with other devices using the 802.11 protocol.
The electrical or electronic product contains little or no Hazardous Substances (RoHS). Any RoHS compliant product is tested for the presence of Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent chromium (Hex-Cr), Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). PBB and PBDE are flame retardants used in several plastics. For Cadmium and Hexavalent chromium, there must be less than 0.01% of the substance by weight. For Lead, PBB, and PBDE, there must be no more than 0.1% of the material. Any RoHS compliant component must have 100 ppm or less of mercury and the mercury must not have been intentionally added to the component.

Colour of product
The colour e.g. red, blue, green, black, white.
The speed that the microprocessor executes each instruction or each vibration of the clock. The CPU requires a fixed number of clock ticks, or cycles, to execute each instruction. The faster the clocks rate, the faster the CPU, or the faster it can execute instructions. Clock Speeds are usually determined in MHz, 1 MHz representing 1 million cycles per second, or in GHz, 1 GHz representing 1 thousand million cycles per second. The higher the CPU speed, the better a computer will perform.

Intel Core i7-3xxx
The model number for the processor in a computer.
Processor boost frequency
The number of central processing units ('cores') in a processor. Some processors have 1 core, others have 2 (e.g. Intel Core Duo) or more (e.g. the Intel Xeon E7-2850 has 10 cores).
System bus rate
A bus is a communication system that transfers data between components inside a computer, or between computers. The system bus rate is the speed at which data is transferred in this communication system.
Processor cache level
The chipset connects the microprocessor to the rest of the motherboard.
Intel QM77 Express
Processor front side bus
A computer communications interface used to connect the processor to the rest of the computer, except the cache (and possibly other processors).
Internal memory type
The type of internal memory such as RAM, GDDR5.
Memory clock speed
Number and type of memory expansion slots, including connector and memory module descriptions.
Memory form factor
Design of the memory e.g. 240-pin DIMM, SO-DIMM.

Hard drive capacity
The maximum storage capacity of the hard disk, usually measured in bytes e.g. GB.
Hard drive interface
The way that a hard disk drive (HDD) is connected to the rest of the computer through a 'bus' such as ATA or SCSI.
Hard drive speed
The rotational speed of a hard disk expressed in rotations per minute. The faster the better.
Card reader integrated
Compatible memory cards
SD, SDHC, SDXC
Size of the display for this product, measured diagonally, usually in inches.
39.62 cm (15.6")
The number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed. It is usually quoted as width × height, with the units in pixels: for example, "1024 × 768" means the width is 1024 pixels and the height is 768 pixels. The higher the number of pixels, the sharper the image.
1920 x 1080 pixels
Touch sensitive screen
A screen of a laptop, smartphone, etc., that responds to touch so you can control the interface using your fingers.
A backlight is a form of illumination used in liquid crystal displays (LCDs). One type of backlight is made by LEDs, which can be either white or RGB (red green blue). White LEDs are used most often in notebooks and desktop screens, and in virtually all mobile LCD screens. RGB LEDs for backlighting are found in high-end color proofing displays such as HP DreamColor LP2480zx monitor or selected HP EliteBook notebooks, as well as newer consumer grade displays such as Dell's Studio series laptops which have an optional RGB LED display.
Full High Definition (HD) means that a display supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel, and has a digital TV connection.
The aspect ratio is the ratio of the width of a shape to its height. For example, 4:3 is common for standard displays and 16:9 is the ratio for Widescreen TV.

A smart card, chip card, or integrated circuit card (ICC) is any pocket-sized card with embedded integrated circuits. Smart cards can provide identification, authentication, data storage and application processing. Smart card slots can be found in various electronic devices e.g. thin clients.
TV tuner integrated
Small, palm-sized, seventeen key section of a computer keyboard, usually on the very far right. The numeric keypad features digits 0 to 9, addition (+), subtraction (-), multiplication (*) and division (/) symbols, a decimal point (.) and Num Lock and Enter keys. Laptop keyboards often do not have a numpad, but may provide numpad input by holding a modifier key (typically labelled "Fn") and operating keys on the standard keyboard.

Processor special features
Intel My WiFi Technology
Intel My WiFi Technology (Intel MWT) uses an extensible software architecture that allows the operating system to think the notebook has two Wi-Fi radios performing similar, but different, functions. Each virtual Wi-Fi radio is assigned a TCP/IP stack.
Intel Anti-Theft Technology
Intel Identity Protection Technology
Intel Identity Protection Technology (IPT) protects network and web site access points by providing enterprises with several ways to validate that a legitimate user—not malware—is logging in from a trusted platform. One option utilizes a one-time password (OTP), a unique, one-time-use, six-digit number generated every 30 seconds from an embedded processor.
Intel vPro Technology
Intel visual technologies
Intel Clear Video HD, Intel Insider, Intel InTru 3D, Intel Quick Sync Video
Intel Hyper-Threading Technology
Intel Hyper-Threading Technology uses resources efficiently, enabling multiple threads to run on each core and increasing processor throughput.
Intel Turbo Boost Technology
Intel Turbo Boost Technology automatically allows processor cores to run faster than the base operating frequency if they’re operating below power, current, and temperature specification limits.

Energy Star certified
This indicates that the product is compliant with Energy Star, which is an international standard for energy-efficient consumer products.
EPEAT (Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool) is a way to measure the impact of a product on the environment. The most environmentally-friendly products are given a Gold rating, and the least given a Bronze.
The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive aims to restrict certain dangerous substances commonly used in electrical and electronic equipment. For Cadmium and Hexavalent chromium, there must be less than 0.01% of the substance by weight at raw homogeneous materials level. For Lead, PBB, and PBDE, there must be no more than 0.1% of the material, when calculated by weight at raw homogeneous materials. Any RoHS compliant component must have 100 ppm or less of mercury and the mercury must not have been intentionally added to the component. In the EU, some military and medical equipment are exempt from RoHS compliance.
The use of processors that have datapath widths, integer size, and memory addresses widths of 64 bits (eight octets). In 2003 64-bit CPUs were introduced to the (previously 32-bit) mainstream personal computer arena in the form of the x86-64 and 64-bit PowerPC processor architectures and in 2012 even into the ARM architecture targeting smartphones and tablet computers, first sold on September 20, 2013 in the iPhone 5S powered by the ARMv8-A Apple A7 SoC.
